15 and 16 in March!

Seble
Shelby

March brings in with it two girls Birthday's......Shelby turned 15 on the 7th, Seble 16 on the 30th! I am so thankful for the "young ladies," these two are turning out to be! I love that they are great friends, great sisters and great daughters! Many of you know that these girls are in the same class at a smaller Christian school, we have been lucky that they have ALL been "so compatable" from the start...actually it wasn't luck it was, "Divine Intervention!" The Lord knew what he was doing when Seble joined our family! We are blessed...the current girls ages are...16,16,15 and 13. I love the nights when they all lay on the bed, Troy (aka...Dad) tries to get to sleep as he gets up at 4:15a.m....they chat and tell stories about the day, laugh and cry..I think every one of those emotions happens at least once a week while we chat on the bed....poor Dad usually has to say..."o.k...that's enough...bed time I am getting tired." ....I know hard to imagine that I also have to be told to "be quiet." Then we hear Syfah and Araya holler down the hall..."why are the girls still up?" ....Anyways all this to say...."Cheers, to another year of Teenage daughters...I am loving this!" lookout brothers...your the next "teenagers in the house.".....can't wait!

Fun Pictures of the Girls Trip to AZ!

When Morgan and Seble flew to AZ in February they did so many things. One of the highlights was a trip to a Monk Monastery. They were provided clothing that covered the body. They were not allowed to converse with the men, but were able to tour the beautiful grounds. They were amazed at the way of life. They live entirely off the land.

I love this picture!

That time again!

Well today was dr. day again. Araya had a recheck with the endocrinologist this morning. It was a nice ride down as it was sunny! Many people in my life know that one of my struggles is that I am extremely, "directionally challenged." Well my dearest husband, who has to be sick of me asking him every eve of the day before an appointment.."can you tell me and write down for me how to get there again?" He would smile, "are you serious?" "Yup" I would reply.... Well he bought me a Tom Tom (GPS) I think I am going to like it. We waited an hour to get into see the dr. frustrating...The visit went well, and she said we didn't need to come back unless his labs were not o.k...so we left and went to my dr. appointment in Edina, grabbing a bite at Panera, which he was not crazy about.....I got to pick today! Well my dr. was running 1 1/2 hours behind...so we waited and waited. I finished my book and Araya was so patient, I only heard a few sighs come from him. Anyways, on the way home rush hour and a big accident on 65, we were detoured. When we arrived home at 5:45, after leaving this morning at 8:00, we were tired. I then found out I had a message to call Araya's dr., she had left me her cell phone..."oh great," I thought. Well, I called her and his thyroid is out of whack, so we will once again start synthroid, and we will need to see her again..we really like her, she is married to an Ethiopian man....but we were hopeful that we could cross endocrinology off the list of appointments....oh, well......I am going to bed, it has been a long day!
p.s...loved the GPS, however you need to put in the right address to get to the right place..ended up in someones yard in Edina, then realized I entered the wrong number...oh well, I was in the right city at least.

My turn....

I think my husband whines when he is sick and I think my kids whine when they are sick...so can I whine when I am sick....o.k. I will! I have not felt great since last Thursday/Friday. Saturday came the terrible sore throat, temp and body aches. I thought virus....you know, what everyone else has. Anyway after a very miserable Sunday and Monday, I had Troy look in my throat...not good...I looked...I got scared, drove myself to the local urgent care, saw the dr. and I have strep throat...I didn't think I could get strep throat....no tonsils and I am forty+, isn't that for kids? Haven't had strep since High School. My kids have never even had it...not one of them!! Yep, that is right!
Anyways, it has done a number on me, no work outs in one week...that is not good. No energy, unfortunately the appetite has remained the same...bummer. Anyways, much better today....love antibiotics and pain pills.
For the record my husband only whines a little when he is sick, and he has been fabulous to me!
Happy Days ahead!

Shoes...........Yikes

While Morgan and Seble were in Arizona they went to a fun Shoe Shop with Grandma Jane. Here is a sampling of the purchases made....Grandpa was a little surprised as was their mother, Jody!..............They had pedicures while in Arizona to show them off. Shelby and Corbins were just what they wanted. The girls told me, "Grandma Jane had to bring her shoes back, she couldn't walk in them"...now I know why. Thanks Grandma, they love them!
