Tonight Troy and I went to a "membership," meeting at our church. We have wanted to join the church that we have been attending for several years now. So tonight was the night that we met with the"committee," the problem was that I was under the impression that since I already written down my testimony on the packet of info. that I probably wouldn't have to say too much. Well, on the way to church I said, "Troy, do you think we need to go over our testimony tonight?" "Yep," he said. I said, "I am going home." He laughed, he is used to me by now. There was another couple ahead of us. We introduced ourselves, they both wondered if we were ready, did we have notes? Oh brother, my heart started to race. I jotted a few notes...
It was our turn. They (the committee) introduced themselves, very nice people (Terri, if you are reading this, thanks for smiling at me!) They seemed to want Troy to go first, but, Troy looked at me (cause he knows me so well) asked if I wanted to go first, I said, "can I?" "Sure" they said...so it began..I talked and talked and talked, now that I am re-thinking every word I said...I think I said too much....I went way back in history...it was like I couldn't shut up...hard to believe huh?
Why does that happen? Oh well!

Cars and Responsiblity!
We had been debating about getting another car, then Morgan got her first job....yeah! So, we found a deal that we really couldn't pass up..the girls will share, and share in the responsibility of it. Morgan is the only one currently driving but Seble is next, she is just not quite ready.
So Morgan goes to work on the first day....comes out to come home...realizes that someone has hit her car...big fat bummer! I was so irritated that the person didn't even have the decency to let someone know...oh well, Troy re-attached the hanging light, tried to buff out the dents..we have a small hole that we are just going to try to ignore.
Anyways, perfect timing for a vehicle, Morgan is taking a car maintenance class at school, and loving it. Last week her Dad was rotating the tires on his car, she wanted to rotate the ones on their car..so Troy supervised while she did the work. She has also accomplished an oil change! Excited to see her "try" new things!
On the road to Washington D.C. by bus....
This morning Seble and Shelby and the rest of the 9 & 10 graders at CCS, boarded a bus for D.C.. They have been packing and re-packing for a week, driving me crazy! (they were told if they brought too big of bags that they would have to re-pack...let's just say Shelby had a hard time with that.) They are driving straight through and will arrive tomorrow morning sometime. We have 3 drivers that are going to rotate driving!! The kids were excited, and the chaperone's already looked a little "apprehensive-tired" ...no energy drinks allowed on this bus ride....they (kids) don't need it.
The kids and chaperone's will be visiting the Holocaust Museum, Washington Monument and many other exciting things. They will be staying in a Christian School outside of D.C..and will take the subway in. This is part of a graduation requirement. I am so excited to hear about this trip. They are not allowed to bring electronics (phones-i-pods), with the idea of actually communicating and getting to know each other better without distractions....I love the idea, even though I would love to hear how it is going. We prayed for them and sent them off....loaded with food, pillows, blankets, games etc..
Morgan went a couple years ago and said it was an awesome trip...I hope it is a great week for the kids and staff at CCS. It will definitely be "quieter" in the hallways at school this week!

Wild Turkeys!

My parents have had Wild Turkeys visit them daily for years......they watch them everyday..they are very brave, and last week they were in their front yard. Tonight when we stopped over, there they were again..strutting their stuff. It is quite amazing to watch the "tom" turkeys fan their feathers. My parents have a room off the back of the house that is pretty much all windows..so there we sat and "turkey watched."........are we getting old?

HE'S GOT THE FEVER!
On our first date Troy picked me up on a motorcycle...I was excited, my mother was petrified. Troy brought a helmet which made it o.k...We spent a lot of time on that bike." I remember like it was yesterday, we were riding on the back roads and Troy pulled over..I thought, "oh, no, he wants to kiss me already."....just kidding. What he did tell me was, "when we go around a corner you need to lean into the corner, not away from the corner." "o.k." I said, that was easy enough....from then on out it was smooth riding. A couple of years later, I was pregnant with Morgan and we were getting into our first house, so we decided to sell it. A decision that Troy has regretted. This weekend he was able to ride my brother-in-law, Randy's, new Harley Davidson..well let's just say...wearing dress clothes and all he rode quite a bit on Sunday and..."HE'S GOT THE FEVER."

Target Field Stadium
A GREAT DAY FOR A GAME!!

The Company that Troy works for did some work on the Target Field Stadium...it is amazing. We were able to go to the Inaugural game on Saturday, the Twins beat the Cardinals. It was a beautiful day, in an amazing stadium. My brother and his kids were down for Easter so not only were we all (8) able to go but we were able to bring my brother Troy, and my nephew Mason.
