I have been in a blog fog...should I blog or not?
It has been a good summer...I have enjoyed meeting friends for lunch, caribou dates, bringing kids to camp, shopping for college "stuff," watching movies, weeding flower beds (gave up on that now...too hot), reading a few books, cleaning a few drawers, sorting some socks...you get the picture...:)
Troy was able to get away with the boys for a long fishing weekend, it was a fundraiser for my brother, Troy, who by the way is doing very well...he had blood work and a CT scan today...praying he continues to stay CANCER FREE. Our neighbor and my Dad also went on this fun fishing weekend. It was good for the "boys" to get away....us girls enjoyed some girl time too, we did movies, lunch, Taylor's Falls, pedicures and more!
The boys experienced, "Camp One Heartland," they had fun! Although it was the "week of heat." We are fortunate enough to have a camp like this close to us. For those of you not familiar with Camp One Heartland, it is a Camp that is located in Willow River, Mn. (They also have one in Malibu, CA). The focus is on HIV+ kids, kids of HIV parents and siblings of HIV siblings. Araya's Dr. has been recommending it for years, kids are flown in from all over the country. It was quite a diverse group. The boys did have a good week.
Other exciting things that have gone on at the Doble house are, 5 of our kids were baptized this summer!Morgan traveled to Belize with our church youth group. She had a wonderful time and I think she would go back in a minute! We have heard lot's of great stories and she has shed some tears this week, she met a lot of great kids and people. Now she is getting ready to head off to college in August..... I hope I am ready :) We have spent a few days on the lake tubing and swimming...loads of fun! The three girls continue to work at the local movie theatre and they love it! Corbin has been able to get together with some friends for overnights too! We were brave souls last week and had 6 boys for a camp-out...it was interesting and fun.
Troy is busy working hard in this heat, we are thankful for his job. I went back to work on Monday after having the month of July off. It is good to get into a routine again.
