This past week was a whirlwind, we celebrated Shelby turning 16! Shelby is a wonderful young lady who makes me smile...she has an inner confidence that is a joy to see, she loves fashion and isn't afraid to wear something a little out of the ordinary..She is sensitive to others needs, and has a heart for the Lord! We love you Shelby!
This week Morgan and I visited Bethel University for the second time.  She has chosen Bethel!  This is an exciting time for her.  She is also going on a mission trip to Belize this summer with our church youth group.  Today they were able to have a fundraising lunch at our church, raising thousands of dollars!  The live auction and silent auction was another fun part of this event!
We also were able to go over to Troys Mom's house to celebrate her turning 65!  We were missing Troy's sister Priscilla and her family.  Look at all those grandkids!  We had a great time.  Happy Birthday Mom!

Another exciting part of this busy week was that Seble and Shelby got jobs!!!  Yeah!!  They both had interviews on Friday and started on Saturday!  We now have 3 girls working at the movie theater in town!
Fashion Disaster Day at School...real cuties!
The boys had overnights with friends and that is always a highlight!
Troy painted our kitchen, living room and bedroom...yeah! I went with the same colors.. I liked it the way it was.  I was able to scrub bathroom walls and scrub floors which always feels good-the girls helped..thankfully!  This time of year it always feels good to get some things done...my list just keeps on growing.

This is from my mom....My Dad and Mom are with my brother this week.

Troy had his 4th chemo on Monday. He's spending most of his time on the couch this week. He has gained a few pounds so he looks better, 205 pounds on Monday morning before chemo. The last 2 weeks before chemo he felt really good, so we are praying for that again. He will have a PET scan on the 25th and the next chemo is the 28th.
Thanks to all who are praying for Troy.
Love,

Jane

Basketball Finals!

This weekend we finished out the basketball season! The CCS boys took 2nd and the CCS girls took 4th place, it was a great weekend.  Shelby and her great friend Ellie, were as selected as All-Tournament!  That was exciting!  Corbin finished out her season a couple off weeks ago, they took second place at the end of the year tournament.  It was fun having her Dad as her coach!

Tomorrow we begin with an early start to the weekend.  The girls will finish out the Basketball Season beginning tomorrow and ending on Saturday.  We are looking forward to a fun weekend of games, friends, food and cheering on our boys and girls teams. GO WARRIORS!!

My brother will have another chemo-blast on Monday, they will then do a PET SCAN next week.  We are praying and hoping that the tumors are gone!  What they find/see on the PET SCAN,  will determine the future treatment plan.  I talked to my brother last night and I can hear a little weakness in his voice, sounds like it is probably a side effect of chemo and they also mentioned that the tumor could of damaged the esophagus and affected the voice ....anyways, he said he feels really good....YEAH!!  We are thankful that he is really only experiencing "yucky" side effects the week of chemo and steroids, then he has about two good weeks.

lots going on...

After counting today how many basketball games our kids had this week....final count...11 games.  Corbin and Syfah finished out the weekend strong with tournaments-Corbin played in Eagan and Syfah played in Corcoran. Troy helped coach Corbins team and they took 2nd in the end of the season tourney.  Syfah's team was so fun to watch, they improved steadily though the season, they took 5th at their tournament.  While the season is fun, and enjoyable, I have to admit, I am ready for a few more nights at home!
My brother came home this weekend with his kids.  We celebrated his daughter Madison's 7th Birthday on Saturday evening.  It was great to see him! He is feeling pretty good.

My Dad came home last Tuesday to get another opinion at the Retina Center.  There is really not much that can be done to restore his eyesight in that eye...bummer.
My Dad and Mom are planning to stay home for a week or two.
Morgan and I are in a Duluth, we drove up today for a College visit at St. Scholastica on Monday.  This will be her 2nd visit!  Hopefully, narrowing down on her decision.  We are both enjoying some down time tonight in our Hotel room, working on our laptops, watching t.v. and planning to do some reading.  We also shopped today and enjoyed dinner at the Olive Garden!
I forgot my camera cord, will post pics later!

Blessed by friends....

I was blessed to go out for lunch and supper last week with friends.  I so appreciate friends that are parenting with me… they give me words of wisdom, words of encouragement and a listening ear…it means a lot to me.
